The funeral for Melvin Alvin Wallace, 77, of Elkmont will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Oakland Baptist Church with Dwight Raburn officiating. Burial will be in New Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. Wallace died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Melvin Wallace was born July 25, 1934, in Limestone County. He was a retired welder. Mr. Wallace was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Wallace of Elkmont; son, Michael Wallace and wife Vickie of Athens; daughter, Kathryn Mitchell and husband David of Athens; sister, Willa Dean Sammett of Athens; granddaughter, Dana Siniard of Athens; and two great-grandsons.
Pallbearers are David Mitchell, Wayne McElyea, Joey McElyea, J.W. McKinney, Danny Adcock and Marty Romine.
