The graveside service for Trannie Mae Gordon-Sandusky, 63, of Athens will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Gordon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gordon-Sandusky passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Sandusky was born April 6, 1949, in Lawrence County to Alic Almon Johnson and Lorene Looney Johnson. Mrs. Sandusky was a member of The Alabama Education Association and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a former recipient of The Teacher of the Year Award.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Van Gilbert Gordon; and her father, Alic Almon Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Sandusky of Athens; two daughters, Sare Gordon of Toney and Karmen Eaves (Tracy) of Ardmore; mother, Lorene Johnson of Danville; four brothers, James Johnson of Hendersonville, Tenn., Gary Johnson, Randy Johnson and Roy Johnson, all of Danville; five grandchildren, Jacob, Abby, Katie, Camron and Garrett; several nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Pylant, Tracy Eaves, Wayne Noble and Randy Black. Honorary pallbearers will be Camron Eaves and Garrett Eaves.
