The funeral for Marjorie Elaine McGarity McCorkle, 79, of Decatur was at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with Jerry Smith officiating. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mrs. McCorkle died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital.
Marjorie McCorkle was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Missouri to Doss C. McGarity and Flora Mae Waddell. Her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, John Austin McCorkle of Trinity and William David McCorkle of Decatur; two daughters, Rebecca Vaughn and husband Bobby of Athens, and Mona McCorkle Clements of Madison; and grandchildren, Christina Elaine Vaughn, Zackery David McCorkle and Carlie Anne McCorkle.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
