Reba Reyer

— Reba Mae Pylant Reyer, 80, of Ardmore died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital.

Born Monday, April 4, 1932, in Ardmore, she was the daughter of the late Eldie Pylant and Katie Barnes Pylant. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a member of Sweet Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eldie Pylant Jr.; and a grandson, Jeremy Eckstein.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Reyer of Ardmore; daughters, Janice Eckstein of Elkmont and Patricia Hatchett and husband Johnny of Ardmore; brothers, David Pylant and wife Shirley, and Jerry Wayne Pylant and wife Polly, all of Ardmore; sister, Shirley Nash and husband Junior of Ardmore; grandchildren, Mike Eckstein of Elkmont, Jason Eckstein of Toney, Joey Hatchett and wife Sara of Athens, Clint Hatchett and wife Candace of Athens, and Jacob Hatchett of Ardmore; and one great-grandson, Grayson Hatchett of Athens.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Hargrove officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.

Pallbearers will be Billy Shannon, Don Strange, Mike Eckstein, Joey Hatchett, Clint Hatchett, and Jacob Hatchett.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
