Pauline Evans

— The funeral for Pauline A. Evans, 82, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Dusty McLemore and Sonny Schofield officiating. Burial will be in Evans Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Evans died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Limestone Health Facility.

Pauline Evans was born April 17, 1930, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker, and a member of West Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Jennie Adams; daughter, Peggy Stovall; sons, Rickey Evans and Mike Evans; grandson, Jamie Stovall; brothers, Melvin Adams and Freeman Adams; and sister, Dorothy Goode.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Evans of Athens; sons, Howard Evans and wife Rhonda of Rogersville, and Michael Stovall of Athens; daughters, Shirley Hice and husband Marchel of Athens, Paula Cammon and husband James of Decatur, Ruth Strain and husband Nick of Athens; sisters, Louise Helms of Athens and Judy Shepard of Killen; brothers, Maxie Adams and Walter Adams, both of Athens, and James Adams of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Chad Evans and Kristin Evans, both of Rogersville, and Tonya Smith of Athens; great-grandchildren, Amber Stovall, Jake Strain and Emily Strain.

Pallbearers are Marchel Hice, James Cammon, Nick Strain, Jake Strain, Chad Evans and Glenn Evans. Honorary pallbearers are Rex Tucker, Paul Turner, Elliott Hughes and Ken Dennison.
