James "Buddy" Crouch

— James Earl “Buddy” Crouch, 66, of Athens, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at home.  Mr. Crouch was born June 27, 1946, in Limestone County to Frank Crouch Jr. and Eunice Laxson Crouch.

The funeral for Mr. Crouch is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Baptist Church. Viewing hours are from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with George Whitten and Keith Crouch officiating.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Crouch was a believer in Jesus Christ and an active member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and Local 377 Pipe fitters and Plumbers. He was a homebuilder. He was a loving husband, father, Pa and friend to many.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Crouch; mother, Eunice Crouch; sons, Keith Crouch and wife Kim, Todd Crouch and wife Karen, and Wesley Crouch and wife Teri; brothers, Donnie Crouch and wife Mary, Kenny Crouch and wife Paige; sisters, Jane Davis and husband Greg, and Susan Ferrell and husband Donnie; grandchildren, Lillian, Gracie, Brayden, Cary, Corey, Olivia, Colby and Braylee.

Pallbearers are Mike Jackson, Steve Turner, Ray Bolan, Billy Jones, Mark Zirbel, Dagan Crouch, Price Mitchell and Harold Dilworth. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund.
