The funeral for Roxie Mable Foote Hughes, 79, of Athens was at 6 p.m. Monday at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Hargrove officiating.
Mrs. Hughes died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at home.
She was born Saturday, May 17, 1930, to the late Charner Allen Foote and the late Mary Ann Josephine West Foote.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hughes.
She is survived by her son, Joe McAnally of Opelika; a daughter, Vickie McLemore and husband Darrell of Elkmont; four grandchildren, Mari-Ann Rollin and husband Ben and Devin McLemore, all of Elkmont, Jamie McAnally and Joey McAnally, both of Opelika; and four great-grandchildren.
