Judy W. Ham

Judy W. Ham, 73, of Athens, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her residence.  Mrs. Ham was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Limestone County to Gilbert E. Whitt and Jady Imogene Gladden Whitt.

Services for Mrs. Ham are Wednesday, Sept. 5,  at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 4,  from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery with Mark Whitt and Bill Perkins officiating. 

Mrs. Ham was a member of Round Island Baptist Church.  She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school and also attended Athens State University.  She was also a member of the Blackburn Women’s Club and a volunteer for the Kidney Association.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Palmer and husband John; sons, David Ham, Jason Ham and wife Sharon and Jonathan Ham; grandchildren, John W. Palmer II, Matthew R. Palmer, Kegan Ham and Prestina Ham; brother, Roger Whitt and Randy Whitt; sisters, Barbara Powers; and her mother-in-law, Edith Ham.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Ham, her parents Gilbert and Jady Imogene Whitt and brother, Mike Whitt.
