Gracelynn Smith

— Gracelynn “Gracie” Rebekah Smith, 5, of Athens passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Gracie was born March 21, 2007, in Jefferson County to Michael Randy Smith and Andrea Deeann Wrinkle Smith.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Terry officiating.

Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Survivors include her parents, Randy and Dee Dee Smith of Athens; twin sister Gabrielle “Gabie” Smith and Cheyenne Smith, both of Athens; grandparents, Brad and Judy Cook of Decatur, Ken and Teri Smith of Milan, Tenn., and Pamela Jines of Jackson, Tenn.; four uncles, Brad Cook Jr. of Elkmont, Jack Cook of Lafayette, La., Michael Cook of Somerville, and Jack Wrinkle of Gun Barrel, Texas; aunt, Debbie Shrewsbury of Beckley, W.Va.; godparents; and numerous family and friends.

Gracie was loved by many and her life touched an entire community. She laughed loud, fought courageously and loved hard. Our lives were profoundly blessed by this angel baby.

Pallbearers are Travis Gentry, Brad Cook, Jr., Mike Cook and Kevin Cook. The honorary pallbearer is Rick McKay.
