Anthony E. “Tony” Gooch, 67, of Athens passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Crestwood Medical Center. Mr. Gooch was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Limestone County to Eugene B. Gooch and Donna McElyea Gooch.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with John Dees officiating.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Gooch.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Gooch of Athens; two sons, Michael Gooch of Gurley and A.J. Gooch of Eastlake, Ohio; daughter, Andrea Sundberg of Santa Fe, N.M.; two grandchildren, Madoc Gooch and Sydney Gooch; mother, Donna Taylor; brother, Tommy W. Gooch of Largo, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Kristopher Gooch, Madoc Gooch, Larry Banks, Gary Parnell, Nathan Banks and Michael Gooch.
