The funeral for Harry “Freddy” Fred Leonard Sr., 81, of Athens, will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.
Graveside services are Friday at Roselawn Cemetery with Dusty McLemore and Bill Perkins officiating.
Visitation will be from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Leonard passed away Sunday, Feb.10, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Harry Fred Leonard Sr. was born Sept. 1, 1931, to Harry M. and Mazie C. Leonard.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Jo Leonard; daughter, Nancy McBay and husband Benjie; sons, John M. “Rick” Leonard, William Brett Leonard and Harry Fred Leonard Jr.; grandchildren, Ross Leonard, Jake Leonard, Britley Leonard, Kegan Ham, Heath McBay, Chelsey McBay, Jeff Leonard and Harry Fred Leonard III; great-grandchild, Ellis Leonard; sister, Eleanor Jane Balch; and nephew, Terry Neal Balch and wife Elizabeth.
He is preceded in death by his parents and niece Leigh Leslie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Limestone County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship — Scholarship Fund, 1880 U.S. 72 E., Athens, AL 35613.
