Fred Goode, 55, of Athens passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012, at home. Mr. Goode was born May 5, 1957, in Lauderdale County to Lester Seymour and Mary Sue Carlock Seymour.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Casey Harbin officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-2:45 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Goode was a member of the Church of Christ, and worshipped at Gooch Lane in Madison. He was a dedicated employee with Steelcase for 32 years, devoted husband, father, friend and he would help everyone in need. He was a loving grandfather to his grand-dogs Rosie and Sam, and his faithful pet, Murphy. He will forever be missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Goode of Athens; daughter, Misty Goode of Athens; brothers, Floyde Goode and Lester Doyle Seymour, both of Rogersville; sisters, Sally Mae Swanner and Patricia Ann White and husband Archie, all of Athens; brother-in-laws, Mark Hargrove, Johnny Hargrove and wife Sigrid, all of Athens; sister-in-laws, Connie Hargrove, Tammy Nave and husband Andy, all of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Andy Nave, Kevin Harbin, Timothy Nave, David Dunaway, Cody Nave and Riley Nave.
