Nell Cole

— The graveside service for Nell Cole, 82, of Tanner will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Limestone Memorial Gardens with James W. Bassham Jr. and Zeke Haselden officiating. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Cole passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at home.

Nell Cole was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Tanner to George Swanner and Mamie Swanner. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens and served as Tanner Methodist Church secretary for 20 years and a Red Cross volunteer for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Cole Stinnett.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, William J. Cole Jr.; three daughters, Patsy Craig, Karen Cole and Cindy Stinnett; one sister, Helen LeCroix; three grandchildren, Kelli Stinnett, Hallie Stinnett and Will Craig; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Cole Stinnett and Addylan Grace Stagner.

Pallbearers will be Brian LeCroix, Billy LeCroix, Will Craig, Bobby Smith, Eddie Raiden and James Paul Schrimsher. The honorary pallbearer is Eddie LeCroix.

McConnell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
