Emma Jean Berzett, 83, of Athens, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Athens Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center. Miss Berzett was born May 9, 1929, in Limestone County to Charlie Berzett and Mary M. Berzett.
Graveside services for Miss Berzett are at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Athens City Cemetery with Mike Davis officiating. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She is a retired teacher. She is also a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Legg and Dorothy Evans; nephew, Andy Legg; niece, Beth Elkins; and great nephews, Alex Elkins and Wesley Legg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Berzett; a sister, Patty Price; brothers, Edgar and Thomas Berzett; and a niece Susan Sandlin.
