Graveside services for Mildred Lee Carter, 87, of Elkmont will be 3:30 p.m. Friday with Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carter died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mildred Lee Carter was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Limestone County. She was a member of Salem Church of Christ. Mrs. Carter was a retired lunchroom worker at West Limestone High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Carter; son, Marshall Anthony Carter; aunt, Vera Davis; and uncle, Clifford Davis.
Survivors include her son, Danny Carter and wife Beth of Athens; daughter, Deborah Tarpley and husband Larry of Salem; grandchildren, Charlie Cook and wife Tonya, Greg Cook and wife Stacy, Pam Wales and husband Tony, Melissa Kieff and husband Danny, Ashton Carter and Chad Reyer; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Cook, Greg Cook, Josh Cook, Cole Cook, Tony Wales, Chad Reyer, Steve Marbut and Tom Richardson.
