The funeral for Michael Levon McCormick, 54, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Lackey and Dusty McLemore officiating. Viewing hours in the church will be from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. McCormick died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Michael McCormick was born Aug. 10, 1957, in Limestone County. He was an employee of General Motors, a certified boat captain and a licensed airplane pilot. Mr. McCormick was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Faye McCormick and son, Steven McCormick.
Survivors include a daughter, Alex Pressnell and husband Morgan of Athens; granddaughter, Mamie Pressnell of Athens; brothers, Mark McCormick of Tuscaloosa, Marvin McCormick of Guntersville and Mitchell McCormick of Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
