The graveside service for Mr. Argel Greene, 79, of Athens will be at 10:15 a.m. Monday at Alabama National Cemetery in Montivello. Mr. Greene passed away Wednesday Jan. 16, 2013, at home.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home.
Argel Greene was born June 16, 1933, in Limestone County to Earl Tildon Greene and Mamie Cleveland Greene.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Greene of Athens; daughters, Lesa Greene Chandler and husband Matthew of Athens; Lorie Ann Moss and husband Garry of Calhoun, Ga.; two grandsons, Ryan Heath Moss and Garry Moss Jr. and wife Katie; two brothers, Adron Greene and wife Eva of Nashville, Tenn., and Vernon Greene and wife Brenda of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
