The funeral for Hazel Christine Pressnell Waldrep, 85, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home with Michael White and Bruce Craig Officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waldrep passed away Sunday May 13,2012, at Limestone Health Facility.
Hazel Waldrep was born July 11,1926, in Madison County to her parents, Edgar Wigginton and Susie Nave Wigginton. Mrs. Waldrep was retired from Sweet Sue. She was a homemaker; she was a member of Reunion Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands Tilman Pressnell and Coy Waldrep; son, William Pressnell; daughter, lmagene Pressnell; two brothers, Thomas Wigginton and Curtis Miller; one sister, Mildred Pressnell; granddaughter, Christy Dutton; and great-grandson, Clay Brackeen.
She is survived by her three sons, Larry Dale Pressnell, Don Pressnell and wife Sheila, Dennis Pressnell and wife Karen; one daughter, Pat Dutton and husband Teddy; one brother, George Miller Jr.; one sister, Helen Cellura; daughter-in-law Judy Pressnell; 12 grandchildren, Tarry Dutton, Trent Dutton, David Pressnell, Sonya Brackeen, Danetra Bailey, Whitney Girodo, Amy Broadway; Jake Pressnell, Andrea, Samantha, Tori Pressnell, Olivia White; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tarry Dutton, Trent Dutton, David Pressnell, David Brackeen, Leslie Bailey and Jake Pressnell.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Limestone Health Facility.
