The memorial service for William Fred Anderson, 78, of Athens will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jeff Evans officiating.
Mr. Anderson passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
William Anderson was born Dec. 17, 1933, to Joe Douglass and Kathryn Wann Anderson. He was a retired senior systems engineer in the defense industry. He was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Anderson was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jack Anderson; and one sister, Betty Jo Anderson Cole.
Survivors include his wife, Jean L. Anderson; one son, William Fred Anderson Jr.; one daughter, Sherry Devineni and husband Sukumar; one stepson, William L. Wolfe and wife Amy; one sister, Jane Anderson Swint; two grandchildren, Sumath Devineni and James Casey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
