The funeral for Mary Elsie Kelley, 98, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McConnell Funeral Home with David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kelley passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Mary Elsie Kelley was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Athens to Eli Johnston Cleveland and Rosie Hill. Mary was born and lived her life in Limestone County. She raised her family here.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth Kelley and James Kelley; and husband, Raymond.
Survivors include five daughters, Doris Kletke of Englewood, Fla., Robbie Collins of Pulaski, Tenn., Sue McElroy of Athens, Sheila Moore of Cary, N.C. and Wray Grasak of Kimbale, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
