Audrey Mae Abernathy

Funeral arrangements for Audrey Mae Abernathy, 74, of Athens will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Abernathy died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.



Shelby Jean Dunaway

The funeral for Shelby Jean Dunaway, 46, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bill Irby officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dunaway died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at home.



Walter Thomas Hargrove

The funeral for Walter Thomas Hargrove, 87, of Minor Hill, Tenn., will be at 2 p.m. today at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.

Mr. Hargrove died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at National Health Care in Pulaski, Tenn.



Paul Phillip Metz Jr.

A private family service for Paul Phillip Metz Jr., 40, of Athens will be held in Weston, W. Va., with Berryhill Funeral Home of Huntsville assisting the family.

Mr. Metz died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Oct. 13.

Mr. Metz was born June 29, 1967.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Metz of Harvest; his father, Paul Metz Sr. of Weston, W. Va.; his sister, Kelly Turner of Douglasville, Ga.; his ex-wife, Rita Metz of Athens; and numerous relatives throughout the United States.



Christine Rappel

Christine Rappel, 81, of Athens died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
