Mack Allen Daniel, 67, of Athens, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery.
He was born June 18, 1945, in Limestone County to Charlie Mack Daniel and Thelma McMunn Daniel.
Services for Mr. Daniel are at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Buddy Bell, Don Osborne and Mark Whitt and officiating.
Mr. Daniel graduated from Athens High School in 1963 and attended college for two years. As of Aug. 14, 2012, he and Barbara had been married 47 years. While in Athens, he was a member of Central Church of Christ. He and Barbara have resided in Montgomery for the last 10 years and were members of Landmark Church of Christ. Mack had planned to retire and move back home to Athens within the next few months. He was a Christian husband and father who loved all of his family and we all loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shenefield Daniel, currently of Montgomery; two daughters, Sharon Ham and husband Jason of Athens, and Jennifer Urquhart and husband Karl of Chanhassen Mich.; one son, Brian Daniel and wife Traci of Athens; one sister, Phyllis Daniel Whitt and husband Mark of Athens; seven grandchildren, Brady Daniel and Cody Daniel of Athens, Daniel Urquhart, MiKayla Talley, Katie Urquhart, Kaleb Urquhart and William Urquhart of Chanhassen Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Jason Ham, Karl Urquhart, Joy Whitt, Holly Whitt, Morris Schrimsher and Daniel Whitt.
