County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Terry Dale Amerson, 18, of 20095 Townsend Ford, Athens, second-degree theft

• April Fay Crafts, 31, of 16575 Buckskin Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication

• Adam Ward Gillespie, 23, of No. 201 Country Hearth Inn, Athens, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Joel Atlee Robinson, 18, of 22290 Piney Chapel Road, Athens, second-degree theft

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• LESTER – Cash valued at $372 stolen from the 10000 block of West School House Road, on Jan. 18

• MADISON – Jewelry valued at $4,800 stolen from the 10000 block of Cedar Acres Lane between Jan. 1-7

• ATHENS – Four cast iron covers valued at $160 stolen from the 14000 block of U.S. 72 West between Jan. 4-17

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Jiles Troy Andrews Jr., 38, 12105 Grigsby Ferry Road, Elkmont, first-degree theft

• Gerald Wayne Mills, 72, 26659 Mills Road, Elkmont, harassment

• Lavon Johnson, 53, of 16567 Blackburn Road, Athens, driving under the influence of alcohol

• Tanya Wanette Jacobs, 33, of 406 County Road 1083, Cullman, two counts of giving a false name to a law enforcement officer for Limestone County Sheriff’s Office

• Phillip Gordon Adams, 58, of 412 Chestnut St., Athens, second-degree theft of property

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• Apple 4-S portable electronic communications valued at $599 stolen Jan. 10 from West Washington Street

• Broken door pane valued at $350; broken window pane valued at $350; $5 in currency; Oakley sunglasses valued at $160; Oakley sunglasses valued at $180; pair of shoes valued at $200, and two UNK shirts valued at $300 stolen from the 13000 block of Rising Run Circle in a Wednesday burglary

• I-Pad Samsung (Smart PC) model 500TIC, valued at $748 and an HP laptop (notebook) model 2000-2B29WM valued at $348 stolen from 1011 U.S. 72 East on Thursday
