County arrests
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
• Samantha Leigh Davis, 18, of 104 N. Debeth Plaza, Athens, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and second-degree possession of marijuana
• Lawrence Lee Dunbar, 30, of 26650 West Limestone School Road, Lester, contempt (failing to pay child support)
• Jason Michael Hall, 30, of 3804 Hull Road, Empire, third-degree theft deception
• Roy Wayne Moore, 25, of 13425 Marks Drive, Athens, probation revoked on previous conviction for three counts of burglary, breaking and entering a vehicle and third-degree theft (Limestone County Community Corrections Program)
• Jonathan Michael Sparkman, 29, of 17200 Ferry Road, Athens, violated a protection order
• Matthew Allen Wise, 23, of 33699 Alabama 99, Anderson, violated probation on previous conviction for second-degree theft and third-degree burglary
County thefts
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported no new thefts or incidents Wednesday.
City arrests
Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
• Ronald Andrews Locke, 68, of 1808 Lillian Drive, Athens, domestic violence (harassment)
• Calvin Elliotte Henshaw, 34, of 16717 Buckskin Drive, Athens, arrest for Jackson County
• Christopher Lee English, 20, of 5501 County Road 73, Florence, arrest for Sheffield Police Department
City thefts
Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:
• DD214 forms, CD player facing and cigarettes, total value $35, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between Jan. 8 and 9 in 100 block North Thomas Street
• Black PlayStation, valued at $300, burglarized between Jan. 8 and 9 in 1000 block North Houston Street
