ATHENS —
Athens Public Works Department plans to close Sanderfer Road from Minuteman Drive to Jefferson Street for road work on Monday, if weather permits.
Motorists should use alternate routes.
Stay updated about road closings by registering a cellphone number or email address on Nixle, and follow the "City of Athens and Utilities."
The Police Department is inviting the public to gather Friday, May 24, at noon on the east side of the Limestone County Courthouse. There will be a short commemorative service for the tornado victims and first responders in Oklahoma.
