— Addie and Jenna Dobbs of Heather Nave’s kindergarten class at Athens Bible School shop for gifts for parents and friends at the third annual Candy Cane Shoppe, Wednesday afternoon. The booth is a fundraiser for the school that also provides children with the opportunity to buy Christmas presents for their families, said founders Emily Britnell and Carole Bradford. The selection of handmade and pre-made gifts help fund small improvements at the school like fresh paint, new lunch tables and an information display board. Today is the final day of the weeklong fundraiser.
