Athens pair jailed for theft, burglary

— Two men were arrested in Athens Friday on charges of theft and burglary.

Adam Troy Chambers, 25, of 12037 John Way, and James Devin Ray, 35, of 26587 Alabama 127, were booked at the Police Department and transferred to Limestone County Jail. Each is charged with first-degree theft and third-degree burglary.

According to Athens Police, a Kawasaki motorcycle was reported stolen from a porch on Wheeler Street. Later that day, officers were removing property from a residence on Elkton Road  and located the motorcycle along with tires and rims reported stolen in the burglary of a storage unit.

Police questioned residents at the scene and late arrested Chambers and Ray. The cases are still under investigation.
