KALB to clean up the Elk

— Paddlers and nature lovers alike are asked to heed the call to pick up trash on the Elk River Saturday, April 6.

Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful is looking for canoe owners and other volunteers willing to break out their work gloves and shovels to pick up trash and other litter on the shores and in the waters.

Those who wish to participate are asked to register in advance, so KALB Executive Coordinator Lynne Hart and her staff can organize assignments and arrange for volunteers to bring tools.
