MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Residents of Alabama nursing homes are participating in a contest leading up to the naming of Ms. Alabama Nursing Home.
The finals will be at 2 p.m. July 23 at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover. Ten finalists will compete for the title and the chance to be spokesperson for nursing home residents in Alabama.
Preliminary judging was last month in Montgomery and the winner will be picked from the 10 finalists.
The following are the top 10 finalists: Terry Jean Camp of Athens; Donna Kaye Wynn of Sylacauga; Clara Jepson of Cullman; Nona Sims of Enterprise; Faye Colvin of Florala; Betty Sue Duncan of Florence; Kathryn Hale Ezell of Florence; Mary Mead of Hanceville; Viola Thomas of Butler and Linda Tarwater of Cullman. The finalists were chosen from 63 contestants.
