County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday:

• Evelyn Elaine Blankenship, 62, of 13915 Parker Road, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Jason William Kimbrough, 37, of 10605 Poplar Point Road, Athens, driving under the influence

• Bryan Owen Vincent, 31, of 8899 Franklin Road, Athens, third-degree burglary



County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Friday:

• Four tires and four rims valued at $1,500 stolen Dec. 10 from 20000 block Townsend Ford Road

• Attempted burglary at Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Elkmont between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 a.m. Thursday; did not enter but damaged door lock and a padlock



City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Friday:

• Carla Denice Boldin, 36, of 268 Macedonia Road, Ardmore, third-degree theft

• Charles Price Brumitt, 67, of 9399 Barker Road, Athens, sentenced from court on two counts of public intoxication; serving total of 14 days

• Jennifer Marie Horn, 29, of 25558 Nick Davis Road, Athens, illegal possession of prescription drugs

• Belinda Dianne Jones, 51, of 1711 W. Elm St., Apt. 66, Athens, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for third-degree theft

• Andre Deseane Scruggs, 38, of 500 Toney School Road, Toney, third-degree domestic violence (harassment) and third-degree domestic violence (menacing); Scruggs was arrested on a warrant and is accused of threatening to kill his ex-wife over the telephone, according to Lt. Floyd Johnson

• Sharon Denice Stanley, 42, of 2109 Stanford Drive, Athens, third-degree theft



City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Friday:

• Jacket, tape, gloves, motor oil, oil filter, underwear, two pair of jeans, four pair of slacks, total value $123, stolen Thursday from Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Purse, check book, driver’s license, insurance card and money, total value $62, stolen Thursday from Hometown Grocery at 608 S. Jefferson St.

• Twelve purses, including Coach and Dooney & Bourke brands, clothes and small appliances, total value $1,950, stolen during burglary at Garner Auctions at 1452 Freeman Drive between Sunday and Wednesday

• Targa brand 600-watt car amplifier valued at $350 stolen Thursday from 700 Fifth Ave., G-17

• Window valued at $200 damaged Friday due to criminal mischief at 110 N. Thomas St., Suite 107



Hospital report

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported two admissions and two discharges Friday.

Admitted: Janice Campbell and Pamela Reynolds, both of Athens

Discharged: Bonnie Putman and Brenda Gover, both of Athens
