Revenue Discovery Systems (RDS) recently awarded Limestone County and Cabinet NG as the inaugural recipient of its Smart Government Award in the public private partnership category. The 39th District Court and Limestone County Jail was selected for its efforts to reduce resource use by utilizing video and document management technology from Cabinet NG to conduct remote electronic hearings, saving money by eliminating the transport of prisoners to hearings. On hand for the presentation were, from left, District Judge Jeanne Anderson, Limestone County IT Director David Freeman, Commission Chairman David Seibert, RDS President Kennon Walthall, CNG Business Development Vice President James True, and RDS Business Development Director Pete Yonce.
