County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
• Brenda Jewell Burell, 33, of 1803 W. Hobbs St., Athens, warrants for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Lex Alan Dienst, 34, of 708 Highway 160, New Port, Tenn., violating terms of probation on previous conviction for second-degree possession of marijuana
• Kelly Ann Finney, 22, of 20064 Townsend Ford Road, Lot 11, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance
• Terry Neil Griffin, 48, of 18569 Tillman Mill Road, Athens, four counts of third-degree burglary (warrants from Giles County, Tenn.)
• Shannon Lashea Ratliff, 27, of 517 Tanner Homes, Athens, third-degree robbery
• Terry Dan Watts, 44, of 15618 Fort Hampton Road, Elkmont, attempting to elude, reckless endangerment, improper lane use and parking on roadway
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:
• Can of dust remover valued at $5.20 stolen Tuesday from Uncle Bud’s in 20000 block Alabama 127
• Motorcraft brand car battery valued at $50 stolen and window valued at $300 damaged during burglary Monday or Tuesday in 17000 block Alabama 251
• 19-inch television with built-DVD player and Sony brand DVD player, total value $310, stolen Monday or Tuesday from 23000 block Alabama 99
• Burglary Tuesday in 15000 block Fort Hampton Road, nothing missing, back window damaged
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
• Dustin Matthews Crews, 26, of 17335 Harwell Road, Athens, parole violation/revocation
• David Norman Kelley, 20, of 19907 Alabama 127, Athens, third-degree theft of property
• Susan Kay Gilbert, 31, of 9566 U.S. 31 South, Tanner, harassing communications and second-degree criminal mischief
• Candy Jo Richardson, 26, of 21829 J.D. Adams Drive, Elkmont, third-degree theft of property
• Richard Brandon Payne, 27, of 24405 Elkton Road, Elkmont, third-degree domestic violence harassment
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Wednesday:
• Two cans of Memorex brand air duster and a package of Wrigley’s brand gum, total value $11, stolen Tuesday from 100 U.S. 31
• Two concrete planters valued at $400 stolen Tuesday from 408 S. Clinton St.
• Twenty-four NASCAR model cars valued at $1,440, stolen between Friday and Tuesday from East South Street
• Two pairs of blue jeans, one pair of women’s slacks and V-neck top, total value $67, stolen Tuesday from Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions or discharges Wednesday.
