At 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Athens Police arrested Lisa Mechelle Pate, 40, of 323 Apollo Road, Arab and charged her with the murder of James Miller, said Lt. Floyd Johnson.
“Our investigation revealed there had been a relationship between Mr. Miller and Pate,” Johnson said. “Pate traveled to Athens and apparently after an argument she shot Mr. Miller.”
Police were assisted in this case by the Limestone County District Attorney’s Office and Arab Police Department.
