To observe the Thanksgiving holiday, offices for Limestone County and the city of Athens will be closed Thursday and Friday.
State of Alabama offices also will be closed.
City and county schools and area senior centers will close Thursday and Friday.
The News Courier office will be closed Thursday and reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.
Papers will be delivered as usual on Thanksgiving Day.
Garbage collection for Limestone County residents will not change; collection will occur on Thanksgiving Day. Pickup times will be earlier than usual so workers can spend the holiday with their families.
Collection for Athens residents will be rescheduled.
Garbage will be picked up on Monday for those whose garbage is typically picked up on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Thursday collection will be moved to Tuesday.
Friday collection will be moved to Wednesday.
