The Art Department at Athens State University is presenting a one-woman show of works by Chia Ling Dawn Yang.
The show entitled “Joy and Transformation in Him” is running through Jan. 8.
Yang, a Rogersville resident who is originally from Taiwan, paints in an ethereal style depicting moments and obstacles from her life.
“Art is what a person sees in an object,” said Yang. “Color, abstracts, drawing and painting are my private languages — and I believe living itself is an art.”
