A four-day seminar designed to encourage healthier lifestyles is set for Nov. 6-9 at Trinity Seventh-day Adventist Church at 823 Brownsferry St.
“Health, Hope & Healing for Your Life” will include health lectures by Dr. Thomas Jackson, a 25-year plus Christian health educator. Jackson is the director of Missionary Education and Evangelistic Training Ministry in Huntingdon, Tenn. He has a doctorate in Naturopathy (natural medicine) and is a Christian hygienic practitioner, gospel-health evangelist and lifestyle consultant. He oversees the ministry along with his wife and associate director, Dr. LaVerne Jackson.
The lectures will include information on the state of health in America, benefits of a vegetarian diet natural remedy demonstrations, and the eight laws of health. Cooking demonstrations, taste sampling and inspirational music are also part of the activities.
Presentations are scheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6; 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7; 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8; and 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9.
