County arrests
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:
• Emmanuel Omar Collier, 29, of 806 Moreland, Athens, violated probation on conviction for first-degree burglary
• Corey Brandon Farris, 24, of 23685 Slate Road, Elkmont, bond revoked on convictions for first-degree robbery and first-degree assault
• Joel Dwight Gooch, Jr., 24, of 22574 Easterferry Road, Elkmont, second-degree criminal mischief
• James Neal Hargrove, 34, of 2211 Poplar Hill Road, Prospect, Tenn., illegal possession of prohibited liquor
County thefts
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:
• Capco 10 1/2 foot break valued at $1,400 taken in a theft between Sept. 20 and Oct. 1 in the 15000 block of Blackburn Road
• Cub Cadet riding mower and 250cc Jianshe four-wheeler, total value $2,120, taken in a burglary between Thursday and Monday in the 12000 block of Lucas Ferry Road
• One .45-caliber Taurus handgun, valued at $400, taken during the breaking and entering of a vehicle between Saturday and Sunday in the 21000 block of Oakland Meadows Drive
• A safe containing miscellaneous jewelry and $600 cash, total value $2,600, burglarized Monday in the 22000 block of Buttermilk Way
• Copper tubing and wiring valued at $600 taken Tuesday in a theft in the 18000 block of Bill Black Road. Steven Eugene Hacker, 18, of Athens and Bobby Glenn Pylant, 37, of Elkmont have been charged with second-degree theft in the incident and are currently in Limestone County Jail.
City arrests
Athens Police Department reported no arrests Tuesday.
City thefts
Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:
• $400 criminal mischief damage on Monday to the front windshield of a Ford Expedition at 1418 E. Elm St.
• Twenty-two-inch rims for a 2004 white over tan Ford Explorer taken Monday in a theft of property at 107 Hickory St.
• Thirty Lortab valued at $10 and 67 Xanax valued at $10 taken in a larceny between Saturday and Monday at 135 Johnson Road
• One 16-ounce Bud Light beer valued at $1.07 taken in a theft of property Monday at 103 U.S. 72 East
Wrecks
Athens Police Department reports show that Dorothy Jean Moore, 87, of Athens was injured Monday in a 4:15 p.m. accident at 126 Santana Drive. Thetus Howard Inman, 82, of Athens was reported as the driver of the other vehicle and not listed as injured.
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions or discharges Tuesday.
