A Killen woman accused of stealing at least $2,500 from her employer has been arrested and charged with first-degree theft.
Crystal Nicole Johnston, 24, 360 County Road 69 was arrested Thursday by Athens Police Department following an investigation, records show.
She is accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from her former employer – Kari's Place for Hair – since Jan. 1, according to Athens Police. He did not disclose the amount stolen, however, a first-degree theft charge involves a theft of $2,500 or more.
Johnston is accused of voiding transactions when customers would pay for services and then take the cash, police said.
She was transferred to the Limestone County Jail Thursday and released after posting a $5,000 bail bond, records show.
