County arrests
Limestone County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests Wednesday:
o Turneal Brown, 44, of 15586 Shaw Road, Lot 12, Athens, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude
o Freeman David Burgess, 37, of 259 Dixon Road, Hazel Green, negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
o Eric Owen Ezell, 39, of 77 County Road 534, Rogersville, driving while suspended and no insurance
o Timothy Brian Hunt, 31, of 12826 Dickens Lane, Madison, bond revoked on two counts of possession of a controlled substance
o Christopher Michael Jones, 37, of 101 Windgate Ave., Huntsville, child support
o Robert Earl Lewis, 23, of 22230 Howard St., Athens, bond revoked on four counts of second-degree forgery
o Hector Salgado Ocampo, 38, of 15391 McCormick Lane, Athens, public intoxication
o Kayla Rea'Shea Oliver, 18, of 19593 George Washington St., Tanner, possession of a controlled substance and second-degree possession of marijuana
o Timothy Lane Smith Jr., 23, of 27487 Sweet Springs Drive, Ardmore, third-degree theft
County thefts
Limestone County Sheriff's Department reported the following thefts Tuesday and Wednesday:
o Two Sony brand digital video recorders and one camcorder, one Panasonic brand digital video recorder, one Nikon brand camera, silver and gold coins and one jug of coins, total value $3,600, stolen Monday from 14000 block East Limestone Road
o Fifteen pieces of art, four plates and a mirror, total value $1,760, stolen between Friday and Monday from two model homes in 15000 block Tyler Mill Drive
o Purse with checkbook, debit card and credit card of undetermined value stolen Sunday from 23000 block Hays Mill Road
o Garmin brand global positioning system valued at $130, stolen Sept. 17 from the 26000 block of Puckett Lane
o Debit card stolen from the 27000 block of Alabama 251 between Sept. 4-11
o $750 in damages to a wooden door and a screen door during an attempted burglary in the 27000 block of South Road Monday or Tuesday
o Anniversary clock, lamp and miscellaneous household items, total value $150, stolen during a burglary in the 8000 block of U.S. 72 West between Sept. 1-22
o .32-caliber handgun, valued at $150, and one blank check stolen during a burglary in the 9000 block of Segers Road on Monday
City arrests
Athens Police Department reported no arrests Wednesday.
City thefts
Athens Police Department reported the following theft Wednesday:
o Dell Inspiron B130 laptop computer valued at $350 stolen between Friday and Tuesday from 1212 U.S. 31 South
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and one discharge Wednesday.
Discharged was Georgia Horton of Athens
