Couple in wreck also facing burglary charges
An Elkmont man and a Toney woman involved in a wreck following a chase with law-enforcement officials Jan. 15, have been arrested and charged with burglary.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department has charged Richard Bono Sharpe, 37, of 24491 Thatch Road and Carol Lynn Young, 34, of 1613 McKee Road with third-degree burglary in connection with a break-in and theft in Limestone County, said Limestone County Sheriff’s Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt.
The couple wrecked their vehicle on Pisgah Road off Alabama 251 in the Oak Grove community last Friday, he said.
They were being chased by Madison County Sheriff’s officials, who now have burglary charges pending against them, said McNatt.
County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Friday:
• Maurice Oneal Anderson, 23, of 711 Horton St., Athens, failing to pay child support
• Jose Saul Mancia-Avelar, 23, of 601 First St., Athens, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident
• Rachel Nicole Mayes, 19, of 134 Frankie Lane, Madison, possession of drug paraphernalia
• Paula Delaine Paulk, 39, of 12772 Hickory Hill Road, Athens, harassment
• Roger Dale Tucker Jr., 27, of 363 Stella Road, Goodsprings, Tenn., violating terms of probation on previous conviction for possession of a controlled substance and breaking and entering into a vehicle
• Jamel West, 31, of 3411 Elizabeth St., Huntsville, violating terms of probation on previous conviction for DUI
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported no thefts Friday.
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrest Friday:
• Kenneth Donald Fuller, 46, of Auburn, public intoxication
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following theft Friday:
• Sony brand PlayStation3 and Vaio notebook computer, total value $1,350, stolen Thursday from 23212 Pepper Road
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions or discharges Friday.
