Election 2012: County Commission District 4 incumbent Bill Daws

— For the past 10 years, I have been honored to serve as your District 4 Commissioner.

We've accomplished a lot, but there is much more to do. Aside from God and my family, my first priorities are to each and every citizen of District 4.

Plain and simple, I have several goals for this office. They include safety, service, jobs and availability.

I want you and your family to feel safe each day as you travel our roadways. We do our best to keep grass cut and intersections clean. We are constantly paving and patching to keep the roads in good shape. Since 2002, we have spent $5,648,102.95 on paving projects and new bridge replacements in our district.

As you know, we live in an area that is hard-hit by frequent tornados and high winds. That’s why when money was available, we built new storm shelters in Pleasant Grove and Good Springs, and helped improve the storm shelter at West Limestone. Projects such as these are appealing to outside business and show progress and growth.

I want you to know that when I vote on any issue, I vote with your best interest at heart. I think that county government should be run like a business.

I have maintained a good working relationship with our county employees and local volunteer fire departments.

With me as your commissioner, your voice will be heard in local government. It is my priority to be available to you at any hour of the day and night. I have an open door policy and can return your calls in a matter of minutes.

I am always available to talk to you about any issues that are important to you. I will always be a good representative to this district and the County Commission.
