County announces grant to purchase E. Limestone senior center W/VIDEO

Officials with Limestone County and state lawmakers were on hand Tuesday to announce a $250,000 grant award from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.

The county will use those funds to purchase the LauCourt Event Center, which it has rented and operated as the East Limestone Senior Center. The county also plans to make renovations to the building to benefit senior patrons. Below is video footage from Tuesday’s press conference.
