— DECATUR, Ala. (AP) — An emergency medical service that operates in Hartselle and other parts of Morgan County is working to reclaim ambulances that have been repossessed.
WAFF-TV (http://bit.ly/TLlBve ) reports nearly half of the County EMS ambulances are being held in storage in Muscle Shoals after being repossessed Monday night.
Company operations manager Joey McKinley says the company that leases the vehicles repossessed them because they could not renew a contract with County EMS. McKinley says the County EMS founder did not switch the name of the guarantor before he died in January, which created a breach of contract.
McKinley says the company will use ambulatory services from other areas until the issue is resolved.
