Arrest report 1/9/13

County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• Roger Chad Abernathy, 37, of Country Living, Apt. 3, U.S. 31 South, Athens, second-degree forgery

• Tina Adams, 38, of 26927 Pettusville Road, Elkmont, no plainly visible tag

• Dennis Dewayne Claunch, 40, of 27457 Oak Grove Road, Elkmont, violated probation on previous conviction for possession of a controlled substance

• Robert Christopher Hancock, 24, of 121 Hamaker St. SW, Decatur, second-degree robbery

• Brittney Nichole McCluskey, 21, of 38488 Thatch Road, Elkmont, bond revoked on previous charge of possession of a controlled substance

• Phillip Daniel Rochelle, 21, of 121 Hamaker St. SW, Decatur, second-degree robbery

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• ATHENS — Two dart boards, three hammers, three screwdrivers and a pair of pliers, total value $115, burglarized between Dec. 29 and Jan. 7 in 9900 block Poplar Point Road

• ELKMONT — Marquee with eight baguettes 3-carat diamond ring, valued at $16,000, stolen between Nov. 22 and Jan. 7 in 28000 block Upper Fort Hampton Road

• ELKMONT — Mosin Nagant bolt action 7.62x54R rifle, Marlin bolt action .22-caliber rifle, total value $400, burglarized between Jan. 5 and 6 in 25000 block Rooker Lane

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:

• James Daniel Beavers, 29, of 1603 W. Main St., Hartselle, seven counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. Athens Police say Beavers used his ex-girlfriend’s debit card to withdraw more than $880 dollars from ATMs in Athens and made additional withdrawals in different cities.

• Zachary Wayne Weatherford, 21, of 17812 Ellis Drive, Athens, first-degree criminal mischief

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• Bathtub with claw foot, electric hot water heater, electric stove and window air conditioner, total value$1,900, and $200 damage to door and doorframe during burglary between Dec. 25 and Jan. 4 in 800 block North Madison Street

• Winchester knife, SOG knife, and pellet air rifle, total value $179, stolen Jan. 8 at Walmart, 1011 U.S. 72 East
