Some Ardmore residents were without power for about 40 minutes this morning, according to City of Athens spokeswoman Holly Hollman.
Hollman said power went out at about 8:30 a.m. atfer a squirrel "made a misstep on a high voltage line near Thach Road."
Amy Golden, customer service manager for Athens Utilities, said 578 customers in the Ardmore area were without power.
