— The Better Business Bureau is offering a way to destroy documents and computer drives containing sensitive information in a safe and secure manner in a free shredding day April 17.
There will be two sites participating in this event . Bring items to Calhoun Community College from 9 a.m. to noon; and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Davidson Center parking lot from 1-3 p.m.
Each car may bring three boxes or bags of documents to be shredded and up to two computer hard drives that have been removed from the computer to be destroyed in a quick and easy drive-through arrangement.
Secure Destruction Service will shred documents on-site in their commercial shredding truck. All computer hard drives will be incinerated off-site after the conclusion of the event.
You do not have to remove staples or paper clips from documents before shredding. For more information, call the BBB at (256) 355-5170 or 533-1842.
