ATHENS —
An Athens man remains in the Limestone County Jail after failing to register as a sex offender.
Athens Police Officer James Kennedy arrested Clifton Charles Robertson, 35, of 2414 U.S. 31 South, No. 123, Tuesday on a warrant, records show.
As a convicted sex offender, Robertson is legally required to report to the Police Department every three months. He was required to report in April but failed to do so.
Officer Greg Parnell, who tracks the city’s registered sex offenders, obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Robertson was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail.
