ATHENS —
Turner Lee Rogers, 56, of 106 Edinburgh Drive in Athens, turned himself in to Athens Police Tuesday on two warrants obtained by Officer Greg Parnell.
The first warrant was for failure to register as a convicted sex offender and the second was for failure to pay a registration fee.
Rogers failed to register with the Police Department in January as required by law. The second charge is for not paying the fee he is required to pay. The fees sex offenders pay offset the cost of registration and the notifications the law requires.
Rogers remained in the Limestone County Jail Wednesday.
