ATHENS —
An Athens man is facing drug charges following a search Saturday nigh at his home on Bridgeforth Street.
Athens Police arrested Clifford Wayne Gill, 52, of 301 Bridgeforth St., Monday on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show.
Police Chief Floyd Johnson said investigators served a search warrant at Gill’s home and seized 80 rocks of crack cocaine with a street valued of $1,700.
Gill was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail.
