The Athens Water Department has closed Sanderfer Road at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Sanderfer Rd. It will be closed until 3:30 p.m.
Also, Hawkins Construction will begin boring beneath CSX Railroad's right of way beginning today at the McClellan Street crossing. They will need to close the street at the intersections of North Marion St. and North Clinton St. They hope to have the street opened up by the weekend.
